(U)L.S - (Un)Limited store Marseille

(U)L.S gives ArtistBook International a carte blanche, editing a 12 pages

black and white newspaper. 10 000 copies are printed on rotary press,

a tabloid format of 430mm by 290mm. This medium and its appropriation,

is keeping in the lineage of “free papers”, a medium of impression and

diffusion concerning any artistic offer, where no critical text appears,

and closely connected to the artist book.
(U)L.S offers the artists a paper to be appropriated or misappropriated,

to create, to invent.

Jeu de Paume Espace Librairie Paris

Exhibition dedicated to CCA Kitakyushu (Center for Contempory
Art, Kitakyushu, Japon) publishing collection, at Jeu de Paume Bookshop.

The non-profit organization CCA Kitakyushu opened May 1997 subsidized

by the City of Kitakyushu, is intended to be a uniquely-conceived institute

for study and research in contemporary art.

It purposes to establish in Kitakyushu a world center for contemporary

arts that generate new ideas and perspectives, and network closely with

artists, the curators/critics and the many other institutions.

Its function is to be a forum for communication, where artists and

curators/critics and specialists from various fields.

As part of its program, CCA Kitakyushu carries out a variety of

collaborative projects with the internationally recognized artists

as professorship. Commensurate with a role as a research institution,

major areas of focus is to build the library of collection on contemporary

art of catalogues and audio-visual works and to publish books by artists.
